Mango Avocado Salsa

The last of the 3-mango-recipe series... For the time being that is! Ripe mango need not be all the time into sweet stuff... Right? Right!

This is the thought that popped into my mind when I saw the recipe for Mango Avocado Salsa. Now what is a salsa? Salsa is a Spanish term for "sauce" and is a Mexican way of making of making their salads. It is normally moderately to extremely spicy! This is the first time I tried salsa and I am hooked. I am definitely going to try more varieties, InShaAllah... Now I guess why I put the first statement. While I was mixing up this salsa as a quick dinner idea, I was full of thoughts as to how would this taste. The first spoon into my mouth and I was like... Hmmm!!! This tastes really interesting. The sweetness of the mangoes, the blankness of the avocado and the bite of the onions and all other ingredients that went in... totally delicious! No wonder we need to explore more cuisines to know how each cuisine tastes and works. I wouldn't mind making little so that I am the only one who tries! Hehe... Mango Avocado Salsa
Serves 1


1 ripe mango, chopped
1 ripe avocado, chopped 
1/2 onion, minced
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1/3 tsp chili flakes 
1/2 lemon squeezed
Salt to taste
1 tbsp olive oil


Toss up all the ingredients in a bowl till well combined. Serve immediately!
